The Place to Be Happy is Here…

During March, we celebrate an important global movement, the UN International Day of Happiness.

“The General Assembly of the United Nations has proclaimed 20 March the International Day of Happiness, recognising the relevance of happiness and well-being as universal goals and aspirations in the lives of human beings around the world and the importance of their recognition in public policy objectives. The UN invites member states and their citizens to observe the International Day of Happiness in an appropriate manner, including through education and public awareness-raising activities.”

What can WE do to help create more happiness in the world around us?

  1. BE KIND  What goes around comes around – and with kindness it really does…being kind to others increases our own levels of happiness as well as others’.
  2. BE FRIENDLY getting to know our colleagues helps create a sense of belonging and shared identity. It also helps to strengthen connections and trust and contributes to a happier workplace.
  3. BE MINDFUL looking for the good in others, valuing, appreciating and celebrating differences can go a long way in creating happiness all around.

We could also tweet a positive thought using #InternationalDayOfHappiness.

The best place to start is with our own daily actions.

Our happiness is part of something greater.

Let us make this world a happier place.

Let us be happiness evangelists for each other, for our customers and to society.

“People will forget what we said, people will forget what we did, but people will never forget how we made them feel”

Happy Happiness Day 🙂 🙂
